"To thine own self be true."
Self-deception is the surest way to distance oneself from understanding one's role in the Universe, or the nature of the Universe. You are who you are for a reason. If you don't like it, change it, but you can't hide from yourself. Any attempt to deny who you are is an attempt to destroy the gift of life.
"Your song is not our song."
Move but a little, and everything changes. It is entirely likely, in fact, entirely true, that if you had lived my life, you would see things exactly as I do. No one but me ever will see things exactly as I do. Any attempt to dictate the nature of reality to another is an attempt to prevent them from ever understanding it.
"Be excellent to each other."
You would not be here if it were not for the efforts of others. Make the world a better place, not just for yourself but for your neighbors, for you can get farther with their help than you can on your own. Any attempt to harm another is an attempt to limit your own happiness.
