Gaffney, Halfling Paladin, and his trusted steed Waldo ([livejournal.com profile] etherial)

sauntered through the medulla oblongata of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. We faced bats, traps, more traps, bugbears, and a few more traps. A good time was had by all. Also, there were traps.

Fedra, the Human Barbaranger ([livejournal.com profile] juldea)
Robin, the Halfling "Acquirer" (deceased due to irreconcilable greed) ([livejournal.com profile] kestrel404)

Fortinbras, the Human Cleric of De Fault (who defaulted on his Adventuring loan) ([livejournal.com profile] evan712)
Oryx, the Human Cleric of Some Magicky God ([livejournal.com profile] thatjoe)
Fred, the Human Monk (deceased due to Darkmantle Infestation) ([livejournal.com profile] nightskyre)
and
Gaffney, Halfling Paladin, and his trusted steed Waldo ([livejournal.com profile] etherial)

proceeded gaily forward through the soft palate of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. We faced trials, tribble-ations, spelling contests, and, of course, monsters. A good time was had by all.

Did anyone post a log of Session 4? Anyway...

Yesterday, the intrepid explorers

Lenny, the Human Paladin ([livejournal.com profile] londo)
Fedra, the Human Barbarella ([livejournal.com profile] juldea)
Happy, the Human Spiked-Chain Monkey (who disappeared in a puff of illogic) ([livejournal.com profile] thatjoe)
Robin, the Halfling "Acquirer" ([livejournal.com profile] kestrel404)
Wynn, the Human Cleric of Kord ([livejournal.com profile] ruggrat)
Gronnash, the Halfling Bardbarian (deceased When Fiendish Owlbears Attack) ([livejournal.com profile] jediseth)
Airc, the Half-Orc Ranger ([livejournal.com profile] pacingincircles)
Fortinbras, the Human Cleric of De Fault ([livejournal.com profile] evan712)
Fred, the Human Monk ([livejournal.com profile] nightskyre)
and
Gaffney, Halfling Paladin, and his trusted steed Waldo ([livejournal.com profile] etherial)

mapped out the remaining nasal passages of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. Or at least, the Halflings did. Apparently everyone else got dysentery or something, and we got bored, so Gronnash, Robin, and Gaffney, along with his trusted steed Waldo, wandered around, trying to clear out some of the parts of the dungeon we had left unexplored. A good time was had by all.

Sunday, the intrepid explorers

Lenny, the Human Paladin ([livejournal.com profile] londo)
Turgen, the Elven Pervy Non-Elven Fancying Rogue (deceased due to Fancying the Deceased) ([livejournal.com profile] evan712)
Fedra, the Human Barbarella ([livejournal.com profile] juldea)
Happy, the Human Spiked-Chain Monkey ([livejournal.com profile] thatjoe)
Robin, the Halfling "Acquirer" ([livejournal.com profile] kestrel404)
Wynn, the Human Cleric of Kord ([livejournal.com profile] ruggrat)
Gronnash, the Halfling Bardbarian ([livejournal.com profile] jediseth)
Airc, the Half-Orc Ranger ([livejournal.com profile] pacingincircles)
Fortinbras, the Human Cleric of De Fault ([livejournal.com profile] evan712)
and
Gaffney, Halfling Paladin, and his trusted steed Waldo ([livejournal.com profile] etherial)

scuffed up the nasal passages of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. Someone broke into my apartment and changed all the clocks around, so I (and the party) got to a late start. This, coupled with the fact that [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb had to duck out early to do some work, meant that we didn't really get very far at all. A good, though short, time was had by all who actually played.

returned to the bowels (well, more like nasal passages) of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. For those who've been counting, it's been over a year since our first last session. During this year, my character sheet was stolen, which gave a good impetus for recreating my character with D&D 3.5 rules. 10 hours (approximately) of Hardcore Dungeoncrawling led to a mere 20 more pages (2.4%) of completion. A good time was had by all.

On Saturday, the intrepid explorers

Lenny, the Human Paladin ([livejournal.com profile] londo)
Turgen, the Elven Pervy Non-Elven Fancying Rogue ([livejournal.com profile] evan712)
Fedra, the Human Barbarella ([livejournal.com profile] juldea)
Happy, the Human Spiked-Chain Monkey ([livejournal.com profile] thatjoe)
Robin, the Halfling "Acquirer" ([livejournal.com profile] kestrel404)
Ürda the Dwarven Axemaiden (deceased due to Ogre-induced crushination) and Wynn the Human Cleric of Kord ([livejournal.com profile] ruggrat)
Thain, the Dwarven Monk (deceased due to Troglodyte Spear Gang-Rape) ([livejournal.com profile] jediseth)
Nolen, the Dwarven Cleric of Moradin (deceased due to mysteries exsanguinating jugular wounds) ([livejournal.com profile] pacingincircles)
and
Gaffney, Halfling Paladin, and his trusted steed Menchi ([livejournal.com profile] etherial)

delved deep (well, we barely scratched the surface) into the bowels (well, more like nosehairs) of the World's Largest Dungeon under the cruel will of Dungeonmaster [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb. 14 hours (approximately) of Hardcore Dungeoncrawling led to a mere 37 pages (4.4%) of completion. A good time was had by all. Special thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] dilettante for designing my character.

Lessons learned include:
•All Dwarves must die.
•Just because he's Evil, doesn't mean he's not an OK guy
•A little Bacardi helps you play Chaotic Neutral effectively. A little more turns you into a Kender.
•Enemies that refuse to charge suicidally are incredibly annoying.
•Subdual damage from a spiked chain makes no sense, but is still very effective.
•No matter how sickly he is, your mount is safer with you on him.

and lastly

•Critting on initiative is still critting, damnit.
