It's decided

After checking with my imagineering consultant, Kim, I've decided to try to put together a costume for Captain Graff (better known to most of you as Colonel Graff) for the Halloween Party I'm attending. Of course, I most certainly won't win the prize money if Conor goes as Blaise Pascal, but it's not about the money. I'm guessing I can use my tux pants for the lower half of the costume, but does anyone have any recommendations for ways to dress up a sport jacket or a place to cheaply buy something that looks like a military uniform from the 2200s?

Try the Salvation Army

Seriously, I've done a lot of good costuming at the salvation army and other thrift shops. They have a lot of clothes people wouldn't normally wear, and their really cheap. Get a nice-looking but oddly cut sports jacket, perhaps an appropriately military hat, and a bunch of official looking medals/pins/accessories and you're set. (Don't forget to get some braided corde and/or shoulder decorations, military dress uniforms are big on shoulder decorations.) Also, keep an eye out for jewelry that looks like these:

Propper accesorizing does wonders for a costume. Happy holloween. And give Cat and I a call, we've been wanting to see you for ages.
