A Day of Firsts

etherialYesterday was a day of many firsts for me:
First Baby Shower. One of the women at JRI is pregnant, so the office threw her a baby shower. What a great way to waste a day. mmm...tea sandwiches...
First perfect score on MS Hearts. Yes, I've won by shooting the moon four times in a row, but I never quite managed to start it with the opening hand. I got a wicked amazing draw on the last hand (no hearts), and it was all downhill from there. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was also my first game with a final score of 0.
First time I had to close the office. Yes, it's been part of my job description for 2 months and I've known how to do it since day 1, but there has always been people working here later than 5:00, and I don't get paid to stay here after 5. After the baby shower, everyone had to run to some meeting in Boston, so the office was deserted, and at precisely 5:00, Catherine (the pregnant chick, oddly enough) and I were the last to leave.
