Seeking Hidden Lores

1. Is there a utility for OS X that a corporate-esque Admin would allow to be installed so that an Admin can login/kill my screensaver/log me out without knowing my regular password?

2. Why can I STILL not read my Newsgroup from Gweep.net?

3. Puma.

1. Turn ssh on. Give account and admin access to admin, let them log in and sudo kill -9 your processes. It's unix!

2. What group? Let me know and I'll make sure it gets fed in. Posting to LJ isn't as useful as mailing to system@gweep.net and asking.

3. Indeed.

well, yeah

1. There's only one computer in my room. It would be tres inefficient to make them go to another room just to kill the process on my computer so they could fix whatever I asked them to fix.

2. rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad - some others had mention problems on LJ. I thought I'd get a faster response here if "It's still down" was the answer.

3. If you only KNEW.

Hmmm, which version of OS X?
If it's 10.3.x, you might be able to create a separate admin account and give them that password, then there's got to be a way for an admin to log out someone else... let me check...
