WPI offered me its "Corporate Whore" credit card. It's 100 times better than anything I've ever been offered and there's no other catch. On the other hand, I don't have a full time job. Should I take it?

It's a credit card. They're evil.

I did. It's served me well.

As long as you can be responsible in its use, a credit card is invaluable.

Apply - note that if you read the fine print they probably still reserve the right to turn you down (even 'pre-approved' cards tend to do that) or give you one of their lesser cards.

I tossed the application - I already *have* a WPI MBNA card, and 5 other credit cards, and I don't need another one. As it is I'm considering dumping a couple of the cards I have since I haven't used them in a long time - like years long.

It doesn't hurt to keep them, and it looks good on your credit. Canceling them may throw red flags (I'm paranoid like that).

Having too many cards can flag you too - when you apply for any form of credit (like a loan) and they see you already have a massive amount of credit extended to you they can get nervous.
