To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; For in that sleep of death what dreams may come?

What worth if life if there is After-death? If this is but a prelude, an opening before the eternal existence afterword, without Chorus and without context, what value is there in it? How can life on Earth for a few scant years possibly compare to life Elsewhere for Ever After? Does not the wise Director cut the scene which exists without purpose?

Or maybe we are in but one of several plays, a gathering of episodes of equal measure, equal import, wherein nothing is learned, but all is external? What purpose then is this life, which cannot have meaning with its merely Finite knowledge, the whole story to be told later, this just one small notch in the branch?

No, Life is not worth living if there is something extant, something more later. It must all be now. How can one truly risk it all if he Knows that there will be more later regardless? How can we stand with courage or conviction if we know that later we will stand with equal Strength on the opposite side someday? If this is all we have, if What we Know is all we Can Know, then is this not the only way we can call something Truly Our Own?

It could be a training run.

Pilots train without being able to see anything other than instruments, so maybe this is a similar test run. Not for an eternity of sitting around on a cloudbank strumming harps, but for a further challenge.

And those who "talk" to god or have ESP are meta-gaming.

Life now could be the basis for whatever lies extant. It is worth living, growth and happiness, pain and sorrow, the whole package.

Know thyself. That is what I have decided is the meaning of life. Live fully and freely, and by knowing myself, I will be all the more ready for whatever follows.

I thought you'd be amused by my intentional overuse of capitalisation.
