Dear 2009:
Dec. 29th, 2009 12:20 pmDie in a fire.
kthxbye
Edit: specifically, a glass of grape juice had a tragic encounter with my computer. If anyone out there can help me figure out what, if anything, can be done to salvage my poor mac mini, please call my cell or leave a comment here.

I might suggest booting up the hard drive in someone else's chassis (or putting it in an enclosure to boot as an external drive, or putting it in another chassis' secondary slot as an extra drive), purely for data-recovery purposes; Linux and BSD machines should be able to mount this without too much trouble. (I am less confident wrt Windows.)

Date: 2009-12-29 09:59 pm (UTC)If (IF) the warranty is still intact then you have two options: 1) send it to Apple and have them fix it because disassembling a warranty unit will void the warranty or 2) don't worry about the Apple warranty and go for it yourself.
Did you shut it down immediately? Or did it run for a bit? Also, did it fizzle out or did you just shut it down without any sizzling?
Good Luck from your friendly Apple certified tech & sales LJ friend!
